Dr. Conner Kapperman

Conner is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he graduated from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences. He then went on to graduate Cum Laude from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Conner received his doctorate from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2020. While in optometry school, he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, Student Volunteers of Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH), and SCO Student Ambassadors. Conner completed clinical externships at Coastal Vision Center in Fernandina Beach, Florida, SouthEast Eye Specialists in Knoxville, Tennessee, and The Eye Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Conner was awarded the SCO Outstanding Clinician Award for 2020.

After graduation, Conner completed his Residency in Ocular Disease/Refractive and Ocular Surgery at Oklahoma Medical Eye Group in Tulsa. During his residency, Conner received advanced clinical training focused on ocular disease, perioperative surgical care, anterior segment procedures, and lasers. Conner also assisted in clinical instruction for optometry interns and medical residents.

Following residency, Conner joined an ophthalmology practice in Fayetteville, North Carolina and served the Fayetteville/Fort Bragg community with medical eye care while his wife, Dr. Samantha Kapperman, completed her active-duty service as an optometrist and officer with the United States Army at Fort Bragg. In 2021, Conner achieved Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and Fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry.

In his free time, Conner enjoys traveling, cooking, playing pickleball, and struggling to play golf. He is an avid Tennessee Vols fan. Conner and Samantha are excited to call Chattanooga their home.
